If you remember trying to cough (didn't they MAKE you cough with your previous surgeries??) with stitches or staples holding all your 'stuff' in is a lot easier when you just go 'cough,cough' instead of the real deep down in the chest rumble stuff that you need to cough up so you really don't get pneumonia. Hang in there. We are all praying for astute, skilled and expert surgeons, quiet rest and speedy recovery.
